Managing Tickets in Bulk — Filters, Sorting & Bulk Edits

Overview

The Ticket Management page (found at My Account → Edit Event → Manage Tickets) has been updated with a powerful set of tools to help you filter, sort, find, and bulk-edit your tickets without having to open each one individually.

1. Searching for Tickets

Search box is now built into the toolbar at the top of your ticket list.

  • Type any part of a ticket name to instantly filter the list.
  • A small ✕ button appears inside the search field while you are typing — click it to clear your search without having to reach for the keyboard.
  • The toolbar shows a counter like "Showing 3 of 10" whenever a search or filter is active.

2. Filtering by Status, Type, and Visibility

Click the ☰ Filters button to open the filter panel. Choose one or more pill-style options across three groups:

Group Options
Status On Sale, Ended, Draft, Sold Out
Type Paid, Free, Donation, Add-On, Raffle
Visibility Always Visible, Always Hidden, Hide When Sold Out, Show When Sales Start, Hide When Sales End

Tips:

  • Within a group, filters use OR logic (e.g. "Paid or Free").
  • Across groups, filters use AND logic (e.g. "On Sale and Paid").
  • The Filters button shows a badge with the number of active filters.
  • Click ✕ Clear in the toolbar to reset all filters and the search at once.

3. Sorting the List

The Sort dropdown (to the right of the Filters button) lets you temporarily reorder how tickets appear on this page:

Option Description
Default Server-defined order (drag-to-reorder order)
Name A→Z / Z→A Alphabetical by ticket name
Type Grouped by ticket type
Status Grouped by ticket status

Note: Sorting only changes the display order on this management page — it does not affect the order tickets appear on your event's public page. Use drag-and-drop to change the public order.

A yellow ✕ Clear sort chip appears next to the dropdown when a sort is active. Click it to return to the default order.

4. Drag-to-Reorder (Persistent Ordering)

Drag handles on each ticket card allow you to rearrange tickets — this does save the order shown to buyers on your event page.

⚠️ Drag is automatically paused when a filter or sort is active. A warning banner ("Drag paused — clear sort/filters") appears near the top of the list. Clear all active filters and the sort to re-enable drag-and-drop.

5. Focus Mode

Click the ⛶ Focus button (top-right of the header bar) to hide the page navigation and expand the ticket list to full height. Click ✕ Exit Focus to restore the normal layout. Your preference is remembered between page loads.

6. Bulk Editing Tickets

You can select multiple tickets and apply changes to all of them at once.

Selecting Tickets

  • Hover over any ticket card to reveal its checkbox (top-left corner of the card).
  • Check the box to add it to your selection. Selected cards are highlighted with a blue outline.
  • Use the Select all checkbox in the toolbar to select all currently visible tickets (respects active search/filter).

The Bulk Action Bar

Once at least one ticket is selected, a blue bar slides up from the bottom of the screen showing how many tickets are selected and two buttons:

  • Bulk Edit ▼ — opens the Bulk Edit modal.
  • ✕ Clear — deselects all tickets.

The Bulk Edit Modal

Click Bulk Edit ▼ to open the modal. Each field is opt-in — check the box next to a field name to enable it, then set the value. Only enabled fields are written to your tickets.

Field What it does
Sale Start Date & Time Sets when ticket sales open for all selected tickets
Sale End Date & Time Sets when ticket sales close (cannot be after the event end date)
Ticket Fees Sets who pays the service fee: Organizer, Buyer Decides, or Buyer Pays
Visibility Sets the visibility rule for all selected tickets
Ticket Description Overwrites the description on all selected tickets (max 2,500 characters)
Min Tickets / Order Minimum number of this ticket a buyer must purchase (1–200)
Max Tickets / Order Maximum number of this ticket a buyer can purchase (1–200)
Ticket Status Published (visible to buyers) or Draft (hidden from buyers)

preview summary at the bottom of the modal lists the changes you are about to apply before you confirm.

Click Apply to N Tickets → to save. The modal will show a green success summary, a yellow partial-success warning (if some tickets encountered errors), or a red error message if something went wrong. Tickets that could not be updated include a reason (e.g., "Sale end date/time cannot be after the event end date/time.").

7. Filter State Persists Across Page Loads

Your active search, filters, and sort selection are stored in the URL (as a #hash ). If you reload the page, your filter state is automatically restored and the filter panel reopens so you can see what is active.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will bulk-editing a ticket's description overwrite it for all selected tickets? A: Yes. If you check "Apply Ticket Description," the same description text is written to every selected ticket. Be sure this is intended before clicking Apply.

Q: Can I sort and drag-reorder at the same time? A: No. Drag-to-reorder is locked whenever a sort or filter is active to prevent accidentally saving an order that doesn't reflect all of your tickets. Clear all filters and the sort first.

Q: Can I set a sale end date that's after my event ends? A: No — the system will reject that change and show an error for the affected tickets.
