Check in attendees using the web-based QR code scanner (no app download required)

Ticket Falcon's web-based check-in scanner lets anyone with a phone or tablet scan attendee QR codes directly in their browser — no app download required. This is ideal for last-minute volunteers, extra staff, or devices where installing an app is not practical.

The web scanner uses the same live check-in system as the mobile app, so all scans are reflected in real-time across every device checking in for your event.


Who can use the web scanner?

  • The event organizer can access the web scanner directly from their Event Dashboard.
  • Staff members who have been given a Staff Check-In Link (no login required) will also land on the web scanner interface.

How to access the web scanner as the event organizer

  1. Go to My Account → Manage Events and click Event Dashboard for your event.
  2. Click the Check In Attendees button.
  3. Your browser will request permission to use your camera. Click Allow.
  4. Point the camera at an attendee's QR code. The system will confirm the ticket and mark it as checked in.

How the check-in flow works

What you see What it means
✅ Green confirmation Ticket is valid and has been checked in successfully
🟡 Already checked in This ticket was previously scanned
❌ Red error Ticket is not valid for this event

Each scan result displays the attendee's name, ticket type, and any other information you collected during registration.

Tips for best results

  • Good lighting improves scanning speed. Avoid scanning in very low-light conditions.
  • If a QR code is damaged or unreadable, you can search for the attendee by name or order number using the search bar on the check-in page.
  • The web scanner works on iPhone (Safari), Android (Chrome), and any modern desktop browser with a webcam.
