How to create multiple time slots for your event via ticket types

For events featuring multiple showtimes or sessions within the same day or on different days, such as a 7:00 PM show and a 9:00 PM show, Ticket Falcon allows you to manage this easily by creating a single event and utilizing different ticket types for each time slot. This method organizes your event under one listing while providing clear options for your attendees.

This guide assumes you know how to create an event. If you need help creating a new event, please take a look at our other tutorials, such as How to Create and Edit an Event, or contact us for support.

Here's how to set up your multiple time slots by creating specific ticket types:

  1. Access Your Event: Log in to your Ticket Falcon account and navigate to the management area for your existing event.
  2. Go to the Create/Edit Event Page: From your event management area, navigate to the "Create/Edit event page" for the specific event you wish to modify.
  3. Add Your First Ticket Type: On the Create/Edit event page, locate and click the "Add New Ticket" button to create the first ticket type for one of your time slots.
  4. Name Your Ticket Type: This is where you will designate the specific time slot for this ticket. In the "Ticket Name" field, include the show time. For example, you would create ticket names like:
    • "General Admission - 7:00 PM Show"
    • "VIP Seating - 7:00 PM Show" Using a consistent naming convention will help attendees easily identify and select their desired time slot.
  5. Fill in Ticket Details: Complete the remaining required fields for this specific ticket type, including:
    • Ticket Type: Select the appropriate type (e.g., Paid, Free).
    • Ticket Quantity: Enter the number of tickets available for this specific time slot.
    • Ticket Price: Set the price for this time slot's tickets.
    • Any other relevant settings, such as sale start and end dates/times specific to this time slot, description, etc.
  6. Save the Ticket Type: Save the details for the first time slot's ticket type.
  7. Add Subsequent Time Slots (Duplicate or Add New): For additional time slots, you have two options:
    • Duplicate Existing: To save time, find the ticket type you just created, and click the "Duplicate the ticket type" icon. This will create a new ticket type with the exact details.
    • Add New Ticket: Alternatively, click the "Add New Ticket" button again to create a ticket type from scratch. Once you have the new ticket type (either duplicated or new), update the "Ticket Name" to reflect the next show time (e.g., "General Admission - 9:00 PM Show"). Adjust the Ticket Quantity, Ticket Price, and any other details for this specific time slot.
  8. Repeat for Each Time Slot: Continue to duplicate or add new ticket types and update their names and details for each remaining show time you need to create.
  9. Review and Publish: Once you have created ticket types for all your desired time slots, review your event and ticket configurations on the Create/Edit event page to ensure everything is accurate. Save your changes and publish your event if it is not already live.

By creating distinct ticket types with the show time in the name, your event page will clearly display the different time slots, allowing attendees to easily select the session they wish to attend. Remember to manage the quantity of tickets for each specific time slot within its corresponding ticket type settings.
