Why can't I connect my standard Stripe account to Ticket Falcon?

As of 2021, Stripe allows only one platform (authorized application) to be connected to a standard Stripe account at a time, as indicated in this Stripe support article. If you are trying to connect your Stripe account to our platform and receive an error message like "Platform key does not have access to the connected account. Application access may have been revoked," it means your Stripe account is likely connected to another platform.

How to Resolve the Issue

  1. Disconnect your Stripe Account from Previous Platform(s): To connect your Stripe account to our platform, you will need to disconnect it from any other platform it is currently connected to. You can revoke access via Stripe's Installed Apps page under the Connect Extensions section. Once you revoke access from the other platforms, visit the Ticket Falcon Payment Settings page, disconnect your Stripe account, and reconnect it.
  2. Create a New Stripe Account: Event Organizers who plan to use Stripe with multiple platforms can create individual Stripe accounts under the same Stripe user login to connect to different platforms. During the onboarding flow, Stripe automatically detects if an Event Organizer has existing Stripe accounts that can be connected to Ticket Falcon. Standard Stripe accounts already connected to a platform will not be shown. Event Organizers will be directed to create a new Stripe account instead. When creating this new Stripe account, Event Organizers can choose to share a legal entity and be able to re-use data from an existing account to quickly and easily complete the onboarding flow. Alternatively, users can create a new legal entity and account by clicking “Create new” in the onboarding flow instead.

What happens if multiple platforms are currently connected to my Stripe account?

Event Organizers with multiple platforms currently connected to their Stripe account will continue to stay connected to those Platforms. Event Organizers can always revoke those Platforms’ access. Please note that if you disconnect and then want to reconnect, your Stripe account will now be subject to the single platform connection logic. When going through the onboarding flow to the platform, you will be directed to create a new Stripe account.
